Meet Our Dedicated Team
Jeremy Baune, NP
Jeremy Baune, NP originally hails from Minnesota. After five years of honorable military service, where he engaged in search and rescue missions with the United States Coast Guard, Jeremy pursued his nursing career, ultimately becoming a Registered Nurse and then Nurse Practitioner. His experience spans various clinical settings, including Emergency Rooms, Intensive Care Units, and both adult and pediatric care in Minnesota and North Carolina.
Jeremy’s experience also includes serving as a Helicopter Flight Nurse for Wake Forest Baptist Health for six years, where he provided critical care during medical transports. Since January 2019, he has been a valued member of the Thomasville Pediatrics team.
He is married with two teenage boys and loves ice hockey, outdoor adventures, and a good joke. He primarily serves in our Thomasville and Archdale office locations.
Sharda Busse, NP
Sharda Busse, NP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner originally from Guyana, South America, with a degree from UNC Charlotte. She joined the Thomasville & Archdale-Trinity Pediatrics team in September 2015.
Her interests outside of healthcare include reading, running, and nurturing her beloved furry companions. She is married with two daughters and is a strong advocate for balanced diet and regular exercise. Sharda works primarily at Thomasville but spends some time seeing patients in all four of our offices.
Teresa Bowman, NP
Teresa Bowman, NP, is a nurse practitioner based in the Thomasville office.
Dr. Julie Childers, MD, PhD
Dr. Julie Childers, MD, PhD, is a pediatrician originally from upstate New York. She holds a medical degree from Detroit and completed her residency at Duke University, followed by a palliative care fellowship at UNC.
She has volunteered in rural parts of Africa and as a camp doctor in various states. She is married with 2 children and enjoys outdoor activities with her family and friends. She played a lot of soccer from early childhood through college, followed by competitive ultimate frisbee across the United States, as well as on the beaches of Chennai and the mountains of Kodaikanal during a year spent in India. While primarily based in the Archdale office, Dr Childers spends her time in all four offices.
Kaley Cucci, NP
Kaley Cucci, DNP is a nurse practitioner with a Masters and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Duke University. She attended UNC Chapel Hill (go heels!) for her undergraduate studies, and was born and raised right down the road in Lexington, NC. She is a board certified Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC) and also has a board certification as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist (PMHS).
She is married to Vinny and has 3 awesome kids named Vincent, Everly & Tilly. She loves the beach and is a self-proclaimed Disney adult. Her family is very sports-oriented, and Kaley herself coaches little girls in cheerleading, softball, and flag football.
Kaley is based out of the Thomasville office.
Dr. Dan Entwistle
Dr. Dan Entwistle, MD, grew up and completed high school in Kenya, East Africa. He attended Wheaton College in Illinois for his undergraduate studies, followed by a Masters in Public Health from the University of Texas in Houston, and medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He completed his residency in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He has a longstanding commitment to medical mission work with Africa Inland Mission, where he lived in Mozambique and Kenya from 2001 to 2011. He is married to Lynda, a proud father of five children, and a doting grandfather to nine grandchildren. Outside of medicine, Dr Entwistle’s diverse interests include gardening, beekeeping, golf, reading, and unwavering support for the Liverpool Football Club. He is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish. He provides care in all four of our offices.
Dr. Ashley Ferguson
Dr. Ashley Ferguson, MD, is a pediatrician and mom to four young daughters. She is married to a fellow pediatrician whom she met during residency, and their family is deeply rooted in their church community.
She has traveled to Belize and Africa, and she is an avid runner and pet enthusiast. Dr. Ferguson works part-time and is based in the Archdale office.
Dr. Stephen Hardy, MD
Dr. Steven Hardy is a part-time physician at Thomasville Pediatrics and works primarily in our Midway office and the Well Child Clinic.
Jane Hoonhout, NP
Jane Hoonhout, NP, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner based in our Well Child Clinic.
Melanie Huffman, NP
Melanie Huffman, NP, hails from Alabama and is a proud mother of four grown children and a doting grandmother to three grandchildren. Her educational journey led her to UAB School of Nursing, where she pursued her RN and PNP degrees.
Melanie is a also an internationally board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), emphasizing her commitment to comprehensive patient care. She dedicates one day a week to each of our Archdale, Thomasville, and Well Clinic offices.
Rosemary Irion, NP
Rosemary Irion, NP, is a nurse practitioner at the Well Child Clinic who is transitioning into retirement. We have been so lucky to have her working with us!
Dr. Michelle Jedlica, MD
Dr. Michele Jedlica, MD, is a board-certified Pediatrician with a wealth of experience in the field of pediatric medicine. Her educational journey led her to Wake Forest School of Medicine, where she not only earned her medical degree but also completed her residency training. Dr. Jedlica’s career began in the healthcare sector as a Registered Pharmacist, with roles spanning both community and hospital practice. Her professional interests encompass pediatric development and nutrition, behavioral disorders, and pharmacotherapeutics.
Dr. Jedlica joined the Thomasville Pediatrics team in a part-time capacity in 2022. She works in our Thomasville, Archdale, and Well Clinic locations.
Dr. Beatriz Juncadella, MD
Dr. Beatriz Juncadella is a graduate of East Carolina University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric training at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She has been a part of Thomasville Pediatrics since 2005. Beyond her medical career, Dr. Bea, as she is known by her patients, is deeply involved in her community, having served on the YMCA board of directors, and currently on the boards of the Novant Medical Foundation and Thomasville Medical Center.
Her dedication extends to global outreach as the co-founder of La Luz de Cristo Ministries, a mission organization focusing on health access, children’s education, women’s entrepreneurship, and church support in Nicaragua. She is a mother of two adult children and enjoys an active lifestyle. She enjoys traveling, pickleball, and Zumba. Dr. Bea speaks Spanish and is an integral part of the Latino community in the triad area.
Belinda Mull, NP
Brook Palmer, NP
Brooke Palmer, NP, joined Thomasville Pediatrics in September 2017. She graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2017, where she obtained her certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care. Brooke is married with a lively toddler and a beloved corgi companion. She values quality time with her family and outdoor adventures when she’s not at work.
Her calling to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner dates back to a 10th-grade science class project, and she has been dedicated to pediatric care ever since. She enjoys trips to Holden Beach, gardening, and caring for her flock of many chickens, from which she collects fresh eggs daily. She is a big UNC fan. Brooke primarily splits her time between the Archdale and Thomasville offices, as well as the Well Child Clinic.
Dr. Maria Pincus, MD
Dr. Maria Pincus is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School and she is a graduate of University of Maryland. She joined Thomasville & Archdale-Trinity Pediatrics in 1995. She attends St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She is a wonderful piano player and is very active in her church’s choir. She is also on the Youth Council at St. Joseph’s. She plays in the Gate City Women’s Tennis League. Her husband is an Ear, Nose, and Throat physician in High Point, and they have four children.
Hobie Proctor, NP
Hobie Proctor, NP has a background as an emergency room nurse and a nursing degree from South University.
He and his wife are actively involved in the foster care community, serving as foster parents and having adopted a son named Grayson. He enjoys outdoor activities and engages in various fitness pursuits like CrossFit, Spartan races, and marathons. His family maintains a homestead with two pigs and numerous chickens.
Hobie splits his time among all four offices.
Dr. Ed Reedy, MD
Dr. Ed Reedy is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Medicine; he also attended Wake Forest University for his undergraduate degree. He joined Thomasville & Archdale-Trinity Pediatrics in 1996 and splits his time between all 4 offices.
He is very active at his church – Mt Zion Wesleyan Church. His other local community interests include YMCA, Cooperative Community Ministries, and supporting the Foster Care system. His international interests include medical missions abroad and Mando’s Mission.
Dr. Reedy has participated in countless medical missions all around the world: Honduras, Nicaragua, Africa, Peru, and Guatemala. He is married, has 3 daughters, and his family is active in foster care. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and visiting national parks. Some of his favorite places include Honduras, Yellowstone National Park, NC mountains, and Zion National Park in Utah.
Dr. Cathy Riggan, MC
Dr. Cathy Riggan, MD graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and joined the practice in 2001. She has two grown children, and she and her husband, a local orthopedic surgeon, have been active youth leaders at Grace Episcopal Church for 25 years, reflecting their commitment to their community and its young members. They are also staunch supporters of Lexington City Schools, showing their loyalty with a spirited “Go Jackets!”
Dr. Riggan and her daughter have completed half marathons in 28 of the 50 states. Other personal interests include gardening, baking sourdough bread, and taking leisurely walks with their beloved dog, Luna. Dr. Riggan primarily serves in the Archdale office and also cares for children at the Well Child Clinic.
Brandon Rorie, PA
Brandon Rorie, PA, is a versatile and skilled physician assistant serving patients across all four offices of Thomasville Pediatrics. He combines his passion for music with his commitment to healthcare to provide top-notch care to every child.
Dr. Amanda Rose, MD
Dr. Amanda Rose, MD was born in Montreal and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, followed by medical school at Florida State University. She completed residency at the University of North Carolina, after which she decided to make North Carolina her home.
Beyond her medical career, Dr. Rose is a passionate cook and baker, with a particular affinity for crafting healthy, plant-based culinary creations. She’s an avid reader and makes a point to walk an impressive 15,000 steps every day, tracked faithfully with her FitBit. Her love for the outdoors extends to hiking, mountain visits, and enjoying cruises.
Dr. Rose’s sports allegiances are divided between Gators football and Canadiens hockey. Her husband Christian is a high school science teacher who also coaches the golf team. Their three children share Dr. Rose’s love for reading, soccer, hiking, and healthy plant-based foods.

Dr. Karrie Stansfield, MD
Dr. Karrie Stansfield is a graduate of East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. She attended Salem College as an undergraduate and received her Masters in biology from Wake Forest University. She grew up a “military brat” and lived in several different places. Dr. Karrie joined Thomasville & Archdale-Trinity Pediatrics in 2008.
She is very active in the community and Thomasville schools as well as internationally having participated in several medical missions including to Guatemala, Peru, and Nicaragua. She attends Mt Zion Wesleyan Church. She has wanted to be a physician since her second year of college. She enjoys running, quilting, reading, and scuba diving. Some of her favorite travel destinations have been Hawaii, Ireland, New Orleans, and Europe.
Dr. Carlos Tamayo, MD
Dr. Carlos Tamayo, MD hails from Venezuela, and he is primarily based out of our Midway office though sees patients at all four locations.
Dr. Rob Williams, MD
“Dr. Rob” Williams, a physician at Thomasville & Archdale-Trinity Pediatrics since 1992, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, with his undergraduate education also at UNC.
Dr. Williams is an ardent UNC Tarheels supporter, an active member of Memorial United Methodist Church, and actively participates in the Thomasville High School Boosters and the Appalachia Service Project. He is married with four children and in addition to his dedication to his community, he is a fishing and golfing enthusiast.

Dr. Don Winters, MD
Dr. Don Winters joined our practice in 1996 and contributes in a variety of capacities. He is fluent in Spanish, board-certified in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, performs in-office circumcisions as well as ear piercing. He has completed thousands of circumcisions on site in our Well Child Clinic using local anesthesia. He is an active member of NC1, a federal disaster medical team under Health and Human Services. He graduated from Creighton Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska after completing his undergraduate studies at Loyola Marymount University.
Dr. Winters’ commitment to others extends beyond our practice, as he actively participates in medical mission work and as a member of the North Carolina Disaster Response Network. His humanitarian efforts have taken him to Nicaragua, Haiti, and Ecuador, providing crucial medical aid to underserved communities. He has been deployed to assist in disaster-stricken areas, such as New York after Hurricane Sandy and to Maui to provide wildfire relief.
Beyond his medical duties and humanitarrian work, Dr. Winters leads an active and diverse life. He is a professional divemaster and dive instructor, with passions for underwater photography and auto restoration. He is also a skilled artisan, crafting jewelry and carving walking sticks.
With his wealth of experience, diverse talents, and unwavering dedication to healthcare and humanitarian work, Dr. Winters continues to make a significant impact on the well-being of our patients and the broader community.

Lesly Apaez, NP primarily sees patients in our Thomasville and Archdale offices.
Dr. David Williams, MD
Dr. David Williams, Sr., MD, is a distinguished pediatrician with a long-standing career dedicated to the well-being of children. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, he completed his residency at UNC, and he served as a captain in the US Air Force from 1966 to 1968. Dr. Williams holds the honor of being the founder of Thomasville and Archdale Pediatrics and holds the distinction of being the first pediatrician in Thomasville, establishing his practice in 1968.
Throughout his career, Dr. Williams has remained actively engaged in the medical community, contributing his expertise and leadership to various organizations, including the North Carolina chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His impressive track record includes presidencies of the North Carolina Pediatric Society, Thomasville Bulldog Booster, Thomasville Rotary Club, and the Davidson County Board of Health. He also has a deep love for everything UNC.
Dr. Williams has three children and nine beloved grandchildren. His legacy in the field of pediatrics continues as he maintains a role in providing care to a small panel of healthy patients who visit the Well Child Clinic. His unwavering commitment to pediatric medicine exemplifies his lifelong dedication to the well-being of children and his community.
